Full Description

A ruined building, of possible post-medieval date, was noted to the north west of Little Quarme Wood from aerial photographs. [1-2] The building is named 'Underwood Linhay' on the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey mapping. [3,4] The Linhay is also depicted on the Cutcombe Tithe Map of 1842. [5] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [6]
