Summary
A square mound north of Bessom Bridge, possibly a building platform of post-medieval date, visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1977. The site now appears to be under Wimbleball Lake.

Full Description
Square mound, possibly a building platform of post-medieval date, seen as earthworks on vertical air photographs, centred at SS 9736 3203. The site is situated adjacent to a small brook, 200 metres to the north of Bessom Bridge. This site is now under Wimbleball reservoir. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
