Full Description
A low circular mound lies 200 metres north of Hawkcombe Head, close to the course of the Porlock Railway (MSO7906), at SS 84442 45906. The mound measures 6 metres in diameter and is 0.75 metres high. It is heather covered and quite stony, and most likely represents the remains of a Bronze Age cairn. The cairn was surveyed by GPS as part of the RCHME East Exmoor Project. [1] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [2]
