Full Description
SS 9596 4729. A sustantial stony lynchet lies in Moor Wood, between SS 95932 4725 and SS 9599 47346. It is 5 metres wide by 1 metre high and runs for 93 metres across the head of a small combe. It is depicted on the Ordnance Survey map of 1902-4 and a map of 1842 and is part of a field system which predates the late 19th Century tree planting. It was recorded as part of the RCHME survey of the ENPA holding on North Hill. [1]
