Full Description
Centred at SS 96069 28591 is a circular hollow, which is best interpreted as a World War Two mortar position. It is 6.2 metres in diameter, and comprises a vertical sided, flat bottomed pit 0.5 metres deep and 3.3 metress lip to lip. It is surrounded by a sharp bank 0.2 metres high. Surveyed using GPS as part of the RCHME Exmoor Survey. [1,2] This feature is visible on aerial photographs. [3,4] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [5]
