Full Description
A small mound lies on the northern edge of Mill Hill. The mound is rather amorphous in shape and measures roughly 2 metres in diameter and is 0.6 metres high. It is turf covered and peaty and is probably associated with peat cutting. Remains of this activity, which was small scale and probably dates from the post-medieval period, occur in the area. The mound was recorded using differential GPS as part of an EH survey of Mill Hill for the ENPA [1]. [2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
