Full Description
A group of buildings arranged in a U shape and labelled labelled 82 are depicted on the Tithe Map for Exford at SS 8303 3943. They are described in the Apportionment as a "Barn Linhay and Court", part of "Riscoombe". They were owned by Sir Thomas Dyke Acland Baronet and occupied by Charity May. [1] The buildings are similarly depicted on the 25 inch 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps and labelled "Higher Barn". [2,3] The buildings are not depicted or labelled on the 2020 MasterMap data, although the land boundaries shown in this location suggest that some of the structures may survive as ruins. [4]
