Full Description
Remains of a small quarry of unknown date seen on a hill top at SS 9529 3792 to the northeast of the site of the deserted farmstead of Lype (medieval / post-medieval). The Quarry is approximately 15 metres in diameter and survives as a sharp sided depression. The site was mapped from aerial photographs. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
