Full Description
The remains of a fragmented water meadow system presumed to be associated with the deserted medieval farmstead known as Washers. The water meadow survives as a number of fragmented linear ditches running parallel to the hill side. They were seen as earthworks and mapped from aerial photographs. [1] Washers is presumably MSO7499, which is, however, a long way to the south. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
