Full Description
Centred at SS 96056 28813 on the northern slopes of Hadborough, is a `U' shaped scoop or platform cut into the hillside. It measures 5 metres by 4.7 metres and is cut in on its upper side by 0.5 metres. It is rather amorphous in shape and its function and date remain uncertain. Found during field reconnaissance and surveyed with GPS, February 1998. [1,2] Possibly a quarry or platform of post-medieval date. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
