Full Description
One of five small quarries. Some are associated with the construction of nearby stone field banks but others appear to be shallow quarrying for building stone. [1,2] The site is depicted and labelled "Old Quarry" on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. [3] The feature is also shown as an earthwork (but not labelled) on 2018 MasterMap data. [4]
