Full Description

Circle of deciduous trees within coniferous plantation seen on aerial photographs. No known obvious reason for this but could be an earthwork. [1] The area of the National Grid Reference is one of former coniferous plantation which has recently been clear felled leaving a broad and irregular swathe of deciduous trees, which form an irregular `enclosure'. There is no earthwork component to this feature, and nothing to suggest any feature of archaeological interest. It appears that the deciduous trees are the remnants of broad leaved woodland surviving between blocks and areas of coniferous planting. [2]
