MSO12057 - Post-medieval linhay at Castle Home Farm, Dunster (Building)

Probably early 19th century. Random rubble red sandstone, pantile roof. Two storeys. Six bays divided by circular full-height stone piers, loft floor, ground floor openings blocked with later wooden casement windows and doors. Although altered, forms part of interesting group of traditional agricultural buildings. [1] English Heritage Listed Building Number: 264647. First Listed on 04/08/1983. [2] The building is within Dunster's Conservation Area. [3] The building was visited in April 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 6. [4] The building is depicted on 2018 MasterMap data as a long, subdivided structure, which is not labelled. [5]
