Full Description
Leat from Winn Brook at SS 8801 3506 now just traceable. Wheel pit still extant. Had overshot wheel of around 14 feet by 3 feet. [1] The 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps show several linear features that may represent the leat, which join up with several of the buildings within the farm complex. The waterwheel is not marked. [2,3] The bank barn at Withycombe Farm was previously water powered. [4] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [5]
