Full Description

SS 8018 4115. Bowl barrow (Exmoor 5a) 8 paces diameter and 1 foot high. Found by Grinsell 24th April 1962 on swaled heath, but listed as 'doubtful or rejected'.[1] This feature is at SS 8017 4112. It is an amorphous mound of peat and stones and apears most unlikely to be a barrow. [2] Irregular sided mound up to 1 metre high in area of uneven ground. Damaged by 19th Century drain. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [5]
