Full Description

Shallow pits and spoil, probably relating to ironstone extraction, visible on vertical aerial photographs on north-west facing slopes, to the south of Oldrey. These pits lie to the west of the Ison Iron Mine (MSO8595) and may be contemporary with it or of earlier origin. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
