Full Description
A banked enclosure or small field of probable post-medieval or modern date is visible as an earthwork in aerial photographs to the north of Moorlyn Farm, Lynton and Lynmouth parish, centred on circa SS 7261 4514. The field is rectangular in shape, enclosing an area of approximately 400 square metres. Although it appears to abut the modern field boundaries of Moorlyn Farm, established after the publication of the 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map in 1904, it is also aligned upon an the earlier boundary which defined the route of the access road to Moorlyn Farm and may therefore have earlier, medieval or post-medieval origins.
