Full Description

A former field boundary of probable post-medieval date can be seen on aerial photographs as an earthwork in pasture on the southern edge of Selworthy village, centred on circa SS 918 466. The boundary is visible as a low bank approximately 1.5 metres wide and 70 metres long, aligned roughly northwest to southeast. As the boundary is in use in 1946 but is not marked on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map of 1889, the earthwork remains probably represent modern subdivision of the field rather than post-medieval enclosure.
