Full Description
The remains of a possible trackway of unknown date possibly associated with the deserted medieval farmstead of Beerland (MSO7467), the site of which lies at the southern end of the track. The track appears as a sinuous single ditch which curves from the north to the southwest between SS 9697 3600 and 9685 3570. It was visible as a earthwork and mapped from aerial photographs. [1] The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map shows a quarry at the north end of the trackway and it may be that the track led to this feature. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
