MEM25121 - Possible late prehistoric burial cairn east of Furzehill Common (Monument)

A rather spread, flat topped mound was noted in 2009 and was suggested to be of sepulchral origin.

Full Description

A rather spread, flat topped mound lies on the eastern edge of Furzehill Common at SS 7380 4451. The mound is 7 metres north to south, 7.5 metres east to west and 0.3 metres high. It is probably a prehistoric sepulchral cairn. The site was recorded using hand held GPS during reconnaissance of the area. [1] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [2]
