MEM25120 - Possible late prehistoric burial cairn east of Furzehill Common (Monument)

Full Description
A rather amorphous mound lies on the east edge of Furzehill Common at SS 7381 4450. The mound is 3.8 metres north to south, 0.3 metres east to west and 0.3 metres high and has been disturbed by a vehicle track on its east side. The mound is probably a prehistoric sepulchral cairn. It was recorded using hand held GPS during reconnaissance of the area. [1] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [2]
