Full Description

The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map shows three earthworks at SS 9396 4081, SS 9397 4087 and SS 9399 4089. They are all labelled as old quarries. [1] The 2nd Edition map depicts but does not label the quarries. [2] 2018 MasterMap data records the earthworks as undulations within a larger linear area running alongside the road and described as slope. [3] A limekiln is recorded to the southwest at SS 9393 4079 and may be associated (MSO11617). [4]
