Full Description

The farmstead is shown on historic mapping including Treborough Tithe Map of 1841 and the 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps, in a similar layout as modern mapping [1-3] Chapman's Farm is mainly converted with the modern agricultural business moved to new buildings to the west. The site consists of a simple small yard with a range of various 19th Century buildings, the north end is older. The backs (west) are good from the lane to Chapman's Farm. Opposite (southeast) there is a long, low linhay with small slatestone round piers and original roof, probably late 18th Century. It is in a beautiful position in the bottom of a little valley in the corner of a lane with trees, the scale and simplicity make it. [4]
