Full Description

A slight curving bank of unknown date was noted during a non-intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Deer Park, undertaken by South West Archaeology as part of the Exmoor Mires Project. This was seen to be orientated southwest-northeast at its western end, curving around to the north at its eastern end. It appears to 'enclose' the southern part of a neaby linear mound (MEM22522). [1] The Historic Environment Officer for the Exmoor Mires Project undertook a non-intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Deer Park, which included this site. Noted was an unconvincing, poorly defined feature with a non-stony make up. [2]
