The Enclosure Award for Span Common dates to 1864. N.B. the recorded National Grid Reference for the Common is conjectural. [1,2] The area is shown as part of land parcel 417 on the Tithe Map for North Molton. This is labelled "Western Common" in the Apportionment. [3]
