Full Description
A quarry is shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map in this location. [1] The site is shown as an 'old quarry' on the 2nd Edition map, the 6 inch (1903) map and the 6 inch (1962) map. [2-4] Bowman mentions a sandstone quarry at Barbrook, which was operated by Lynton udc in 1937. There was no employment return for that year. [5]
