Full Description
SS 7529 4585. A ditchless, heather covered, bowl barrow, 7.0 metres in diameter and 0.4 metres high, with a central mutilation 1.0 metres square by 0.4 metres deep. Located during field investigation. Surveyed at 1:2500. [1] Centred at SS 7529 4585 on the gently southwest sloping saddle of Farley Hill is a well preserved barrow. It is 6.2 metres in diameter and 0.8 metres high. A central, sub rectangular, sharp sided excavation pit is visible. It measures 1.3 metres by 0.8 metres and is 0.3 metres deep. [2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
