Full Description
SS 7405 4695. McDonnell depicts low banks and possibly a house platform seen on aerial photographs. [1,2] SS 7405 4695. The area falls on the steep east facing slopes of Cheriton Hill overlooking the hamlet of Bridge Ball. The slopes are covered in inaccessible dense scrub (brambles, gorse and bracken) and no evidence was seen of these alleged banks and house platform. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
