Description
Number 26 High Street, known as ‘Blenheim’ and ‘Blenheim Cottage’, is a Grade II listed building. Built along with its pair, Number 28, in 1825 by the Luttrell family. They remained part of the Luttrell Estate until 1950 when they were part of the significant Luttrell Estate sell off to The Crown. From then, Blenheim Cottage was rented by The Crown Estate until the freehold was purchased on 30 September 2016. The report provides an overview of what is believed by the authors to be sympathetic and necessary proposed works to update, decorate and protect Blenheim Cottage, focusing on the chimneys, exterior walls, roof and loft.
