Abstract/Summary
This report has been commissioned by Exmoor National Park Authority (ENPA) in relation to the proposed hydrological restoration work on the blanket mire at Alderman’s Barrow Allotment. The work was undertaken by Exeter Archaeology (EA) between the 16th October 2008 and the 29th October 2008. No significant archaeological features or deposits were thought to be disturbed by the operations within the stretches observed. The depths of peat recorded and the naturally formed wood layer at dam 4a 1 may provide potential for further palaeoenvironmental research.
