Source/Archive record SEM8038 - Wintershead Head, Exmoor: Combined earth resistance and gradiometer survey

This report details the geoprospection of a survey area at Wintershead, Exmoor (NGR: 276600, 137300), commissioned by Exmoor National Park Authority. The survey was undertaken as part of the Exmoor Mires Project and aimed to evaluate archaeological remains before its use as an access route by vehicles engaged in mire restoration work. Gradiometer and earth resistance techniques were used during this survey. Based on the results of this survey, the gradiometer survey area was extended and the site revisted (see SEM8037 and EEM14152).
