Full Description
A waterwheel and leat at Gupworthy Farm. The leat is from the adit of Gupworthy Iron mine. The wheel pit and sluices are still visible. Wheel was 16 feet diameter and 3 feet wide with 56 buckets and a 4 inch shaft. Built by C Phillips of Bridgetown for Harwood Farm. Bought secondhand to replace wooden wheel which was installed in 1895. Worked a stationary thresher.
