Full Description
A round mound was noted during an aerial photograph survey. [1, 2] On the crest of a steep natural slope are the remains of a shallow, amorphous quarry or trial pit 15 metres in diameter with an adjacent spoil heap 0.5 metres high on the northeast. A fence line now bisects the features so that the quarry lies in improved pasture and the spoil heap in scrub. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
