Full Description
Small rectangular depression with spoil mound on SE end of hill. Area of 15 paces by 16 paces. Likely to be a trial mining pit. [1,2] A possible shaft or trial working, comprising a subrectangular hollow measuring 6.3 metres by 5.8 metres and 0.8 metres deep. A spoil heap, 0.7 metres metres high, lies on the southeastern side. [3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
