Signpost. Early C20. Cast iron. Rectangular sign inscribed: Monksilver/Slow in raised letters, attached to later upright iron post surmounted by triangle with SCC in attached letters. Primarily listed for historic interest and as a good example of cast iron lettering. [1] English Heritage Listed Building Number: 264773. First Listed on 21/12/1984. [2] Iron walls. [3] The signpost was visited in June 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 4A. [4] GIS mapping for this record has been moved from ST 0753 3741 to ST 07481 37388 as per discussion with English Heritage Minor Amendments Team in January 2015. [5]
