Full Description
Uneven and eroded surface in the southeast and southwest corners of two small pasture fields to the north-north-east of Driver Farm. Possibly an area of peat cutting activity, grass covered with exposed and eroded sides up to approximately 0.3 metres deep. [1] A study of the archaeology and history of peat exploitation on Exmoor’s moorlands provides additional background on the practice and sites. [2]
