MSO10130 - Post-medieval quarry northwest of Driver Farm, Exmoor (Monument)

Full Description

A grass coverd shallow quarry about 16 metres long, 14 metres wide and 1.5 metres deep at the rear. A pathway about 10 metres long and up to 2 metres wide heads southeast out of the quarry. This is part of an area of shallow quarrying activity starting to the north of this main feature and running down both sides of the combe down to the road to Driver Farm. Some of the quarries are stone faced and some have spoil mounds. Generally in good condition. [1]
