Full Description
The possible remains of a post-medieval drain or a water meadow system, known locally as a catchwater meadow, are visible on aerial photographs, as earthworks. Two ditches extend for up to 120 metres in a northeast to southwest direction and appear to cut through medieval strip fields (see MDE10861). The two ditches are centred at SS 6699 4405 and each are centred at SS 6696 4405 and SS 6700 4404. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
