Full Description

A rectangular enclosure of uncertain date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark north-west of Culverwell, Withycombe. Centred at approximately ST 0105 3830, the feature is defined by a narrow area of darker crop growth, suggesting the presence of a ditch and measuring up to 2 metres wide, which forms three sides of a rectangular enclosure measuring 30 metres long by 25 metres wide. The south side of the enclosure is not visible, and there is no trace of an entranceway. [1]
