Summary

A possible rectangular enclosure of uncertain date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark. At least one side aligns with an extant field boundary to the north, suggesting it may be a medieval or post medieval field boundary.

Full Description

A possible rectangular enclosure of uncertain date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark north west of Woodavent Farm, Nettlecombe. Centred at approximately ST 0344 3747, the enclosure is aligned roughly north-south and measures 85 metres long by 35 metres wide. At least one side aligns with an extant field boundary to the north, suggesting it may be a medieval or post medieval field boundary which has been removed. Further survey is required.
