Full Description
A probable post-medieval leat is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork west of Combe Farm, Withycombe. Centred at approximately ST 0061 4058 and running east to west along a south facing slope above The Combe. The leat measures approximately 270 metre long and lies between a water meadow system and a series of leats believed to have had an industrial function, and may have been related to either. It appears to have been connected to a weir visible to the west, indicating an industrial function may be the more likely option. [1,2]
