Full Description
A field boundary of probable post-medieval date can be seen as an earthwork bank on the former area of Wellshead Allotment on aerial photographs of the 1960s. The earthwork is visible for approximately 175 metres and centred on circa SS 8311 4122. It is orientated north-northeast to south-southwest and may be aligned upon the field boundaries of Greenlands farm 190 metres to the east, and could be evidence for an incomplete or abandoned phase of post-medieval enclosure associated with Greenlands.
