Full Description
A curvilinear field boundary of probable medieval origin is visible on aerial photographs as a levelled earthwork to the southwest of Park Farm, Lynton, centred on circa SS 7130 4901. The levelled earthwork was probably contemporary with, and a physical continuation of, an extant field boundary which can be seen extending to the east of this feature. The levelled, westernmost section of this boundary, was probably removed in the post-medieval period when it was superseded by more regular field boundaries.
