Full Description
An earthwork bank visible on aerial photographs to the east of North Furzehill, at circa SS 7306 4500, is probably the remains of a field boundary of post-medieval date. Although not marked on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map of 1889, it is on a similar alignment to a boundary to the south which is. In contrast to a number of curvilinear boundaries to the west, which are thought to be medieval in origin, this earthwork is very straight and was probably laid out during the post-medieval enclosure of Furzehill Common.
