Full Description

A possible Bronze Age hut circle is visible on aerial photographs as a slight earthwork on the western side of Trentishoe Down. It is located on a sheltered west facing slope above an unnamed stream, and is comprised of a slight ovoid bank enclosing a hollow and measuring 16 metres across. The interior of the bank measures 13 metres across. The feature is not depicted on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. There are two well preserved Bronze Age hut circles of a similar construction 200 metres further up the slope to the southeast (see MDE1040).
