Full Description
A subrectangular bank defined enclosure of possible medieval or post-medieval date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, centred on circa SS 7950 4650, approximately 150 metres to the south of Cloud Farm, Oare parish. The banks are somewhat curvilinear in shape defining an enclosure roughly 60 metres square with an internal area of less than 0.5 hectares. Located on the steep combe side above Badgeworthy Water it may have been used as a stock enclosure or small outfield associated with Cloud Farm. Field boundaries similar in character can also be seen to the north and south.
