Full Description

A possible post-medieval water meadow gutter drainage system is visible as a curvilinear earthwork and was mapped from aerial photographs taken in 1947. The water meadow is located on southeast facing hillslope in the field immediately northeast of Yearnor Farm. Although only one curvilinear ditch can be seen is seems likely that there may have been more. The curvilinear ditch follows the contours of the slope to carry water over and off the field. The ditch was still visible on aerial photographs taken in 1979.
