Full Description

The Tithe Map for Luxborough depicts a linear building within an enclosure at SS 9756 3688. It is labelled 324, which the Apportionment describes as kennels, part of the "Chargott" Estate owned by Sir Thomas Bucker Lethbridge Bart. [1] The building is shown in more detail on the 25 inch 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps. It is subdivided into four, with individual yard spaces to the southwest for each section of the building. It is labelled "Kennels" on the 2nd Edition map. [2,3] The kennels can be traced on the 2022 MasterMap data. It is not labelled, and may no longer be roofed. The yard areas also appear to have been reduced in size and opened up to form a single space, and a small structure has been introduced in the southeastern corner of the removed yard space. [4]
