Full Description

A very weak positive anomaly was recorded during geophysical survey in 2021. It was suggested to represent a spread of infilled material or deposit, possibly within a natural hollow or pond, or a manmade equivalent. It was noted to be located at the northwestern end of a geological variation associated with a floodplain, or former aspects of the River Aller, and may represent a natural wet area or pond type feature at the end of the geological variation. [1] The feature not shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, or on the Tithe Map for Selworthy. [2,3]
