Full Description

A large rectangular building is shown on the Kings Brompton Tithe Map at c.SS 9587 2927. Its main elevation appears to be orientated to the southwest, towards the road. It is within land parcel 1155, which the Apportionment describes as a "House and Garden", owned and occupied by John Wensley Junior, lessee under Earl Carnarvon. [1] The building appears to have been cleared by the time the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed, and another built slightly to the east on a differing orientation (MEM24857). It is not clear, however, whether this newer building is a remodelling of the earlier structure, or reuses any of the original building's fabric. [2]
